Teaching at a small liberal arts college in a department that encourages innovation has allowed me to develop new courses and revise existing courses regularly. As student interests and departmental needs change, so does what I teach and how I teach it. The classroom should be a welcoming, challenging, exciting place, where we listen well, read carefully, and learn through discussion. On my best days, I like to think that’s what happens.
